Garlon (Triclopyr) . . . also known as Turflon -- it's all poison!

Remember folks, it's not just the toxins you get to learn about from the labels that you should
concern yourself with, but the inerts, which have not been required to be listed on the label.
Inerts are often more toxic than the chemicals they list on the labels.

I have not seen a lable for Roundup or Garlon, but according to PANUPS, a U.S. court ruled that
Inerts were to be disclosed. IF these poisons are being used in your area, check that label! See
http://www.panna.org/resources/pestis/PESTIS.1996.133.html

Also, whenever someone is pushing the use of pesticides, or trying to marginalize them as "only
herbicides," you should take it upon yourself to look for the other side of the information.
There's more info available than I can get up on EHN's site. Search for harmful effects of the
pesticide you are told to use, or which will be used in your area. Then stand up for safer means of
"pest" control. Safer alternatives do exist! It's up to us to make sure they are used. And when,
costs are thrown in your face, ask if they've calculated the cost of reproductive harm to the animals,
whether they crawl on their bellies, use two legs, four or more, or fly. -- barb

Or, in 2006, as Al Gore aptly names it: Climate Crisis. Do see his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth."
Which actually best describes the lives of millions living with MCS! And because it is so damned
inconvenient for the medical/pharmaceutical industry, we are stultified. It IS time for change!

And, it is time for each person to do his/her best to clear the air. Do not use petrochemical-derived
flavors and fragrances, nor fertilizers and pesticides. Demand accurate labeling. We should be
informed about what chemicals are put into our bodies. And, yes, if we inhale them, they are
certainly in our bodies. So think about that the next time you choose products for your
personal care, your cosmetics, and your cleaning and maintenance projects. Remember to look for
that benign sounding word: FRAGRANCES. When you see it, move on to a safer product
that is not made with petrochemical-derived fragrances . . . or flavors, or pesticides, or fertilizers or
. . . We the people, and the planet we live on, have been inundated with the release to market of
100,000 or so chemicals, which by and large have not been substantiated for safety. I repeat,
It IS time for change! -- barb

    EPA defines "Green Engineering" as:

Green Engineering is the design, commercialization
and use of processes & products that are feasible &
    economical while minimizing:
Research synthetically scented products and you will learn of the toxins that are emitted.
What place do they have in the scheme of green?

Now for one more bit of information. The Department of the Interior states under its
"Guidance and Training on Greening Your Janitorial Business
CHAPTER 2: Traditional Versus "Green" Cleaning Products" -- subhead:

"A Sampling of Environmental Attributes for Cleaning Products"

There's a reason for that as DOI starts off that section on GREEN products with:

"Must not contain any carcinogens, mutagens, or teratogens
         designated by federal law."
